Notepad v5.7 on Win7, but also in earlier versions on XP:
The 'In selection' option in the Find dialogue appears not to restrict the search to the selection. For example, load the Notepad++ readme.txt, select the first line - the Sel: in the bottom status area shows that it is selected - open Search/Find, select the 'In selection' option and search for free, or anything else that isn't in the selection, using 'Find Next'. It selects the specified target string - in this case the word free in line 4. Shouldn't the 'In selection' box prevent this from being found outside the selection?
Can't find anything in the forums about this - is it a know problem?
