Thx for the new search-engine! It's more stable than the previous one, but I
was still able to crash notepad once in two-column view. Couldn't reproduce
it...
But whats not very nice, are the search-results.

1)The color is mostly red on white, which is quite bad-readable and sometimes
black. Couldn't determine the consistantcy...

2)Why was the minimization removed from the search?
It was very helpfull to just beeing able to modify search-entries belonging
to one file!

3)Is it possible to clear the results at the moment I am doing a new search,
like it was before?
Otherwise I always have to do a manual clear-up...

4)Would it be possible to extend given search-masks like "*.h *.hpp *.hxx *.cpp
*.cxx *.cc " myself?

Hi,

Regarding (1) and (2) please see me message here:
https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6377406
I think this is the problem.

(3) Currently not. But previous searches are automatically collapsed. You can
clear all results using the new command from the pop-up menu. (right click the
results)

(4) The filters field is editable - you can put whatever you want there.
It is also saved in the combo-box history.

thx! the color, does work fine now.
but I couldn't find anything about the collapse-feature following the link.

regarding point (4), the thing is I am using *.c files together with *.h files,
but when I am editing a *.h-file and press CTRL-SHIFT+F the filter is automatically
set to "*.h *.hpp *.hxx *.cpp *.cxx *.cc", then I first to select
*.c automatically.

Hi,

Regarding (2) - I probably don't understand your problem exactly. What minimization
was removed?

Regarding (4) - when you open the find in files dialog, the "Directory" and
the "Filters" are automatically changed according to the current open file.

I actually was against that, and in my original version these fields were set
only on the first time you launch the dialog, and then they remained constant
until the user (or a plug in) changed them.

For me - the changing "Directory" field is also annoying because my source files
are organized in a few subfolders, and I usually want to search in all the source
tree. But once I open the find in files dialog, the "Directory" is changed to
the specific folder my current file is in, and I have to manually change it
again.

I will try to talk to Don about that, and convince him to change the behavior,
or make it optional.

great, somebody eventually understands me :-)

sorry, I wasn't unclear about (2). I meant the collapse-feature. If I got several
results in different files, I might want to exclude results of a file, so I
collapse them with that "-" symbol. Seems that feature is unfortunately gone :(

You should be able to do that.

See how it should look like:

Maybe there's still a problem with your stylers.xml file?

Anyway, removing search results can now be done by deleting them (not only
collapsing). You can do that by clicking on a result (or a green file header,
or a purple search header), and hitting the DELETE key.

Please keep me updated if it's not working, thanks.

nice '+','-' buttons in your picture! They are definately not present in my
version.
I even tried to remove all the xml-files and replaced them with the original
ones of v5.2, no difference.

I realized the del-feature. In my version I can delete entries, but if I try
to delete parent-file-entries the sub-entries are still present.
Maybe both problems are connected somehow...

I believe both problems are connected, but I'm not sure what the reason is.
How did you install your version? Is it possible you only overwritten the
executable?
